His extensive career included executive roles at Original Film, Morgan Creek, and Sony, where he contributed to films like 'Urban Legend' and 'Saving Silverman.' Later, he served as President of Production for Dimension Films and managed development slates at Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group. Luff's talent lay in identifying opportunities for franchise extensions, developing sequels for titles such as 'Daddy Day Care' and 'Eraser' at a fraction of original production costs.
Friends and colleagues remember Luff as a passionate, smart, and exceptionally kind individual. Screenwriter Robbie Fox highlighted Luff's creative support and respectful working style. Most recently, Luff was engaged in creating original movies for Fox's Tubi. He is survived by his wife, Natalia, his children Isabella and Jack, his sister Cindy, and his mother Ellen.
