Summary
- Film "Giant" chronicles boxer Prince Naseem's life and relationship with coach.
- Pierce Brosnan joined the project after a surprising phone call to the director.
- Sylvester Stallone executive produced after his other project was delayed.

The Red Sea Film Festival has opened with the world premiere of "Giant," a new boxing drama directed by Rowan Athale. The film centers on the remarkable life and career of British-Yemeni world champion boxer Prince Naseem Hamed, focusing on his complex relationship with his trainer, Brendan Ingle.
Securing Pierce Brosnan for the role of Ingle was a significant achievement, with the actor joining the project after a direct, unexpected pitch from Athale. Amir El-Masry delivers a transformative performance as Hamed, mastering the sport in a remarkably short preparation period. Sylvester Stallone's involvement as an executive producer materialized when another film collaboration was postponed by the pandemic.
"Giant" not only delves into the boxing world but also addresses the prejudices faced by Muslims in 1980s Britain, a theme resonant with the director's own upbringing. Athale expressed his honor in premiering the film at the prestigious festival, highlighting its significance in reaching an Arab audience.
