Bowen Yang, known for his SNL appearances, missed presenting at the Actor Awards in Los Angeles due to being unexpectedly stuck in Antarctica. He was scheduled to co-present an award with actress Kathryn Hahn. However, travel issues from Antarctica prevented Yang from attending the ceremony.
Hahn humorously explained Yang's absence to the audience, stating she was stepping in for him as he was "casually stuck in Antarctica." A visual of Yang bundled in snow, referencing a past SNL sketch where he played an iceberg, was displayed.
Yang had previously mentioned a planned family trip to Antarctica on the "Las Culturistas" podcast. The Actor Awards ceremony was livestreamed on Netflix, with Keri Russell ultimately winning the award for Female Actor in a Drama Series.
