Boston is preparing to welcome the Luminarium, a unique inflatable art installation, to Central Park from July 2nd to 5th. This forest-inspired sculpture is designed as a walk-through experience, featuring a series of tunnels and domes bathed in daylight. Organized by the arts program Transported, the Luminarium promises a breathtaking and colorful display, marking a novel event for Boston.
The arrival of the Luminarium complements a packed summer of activities in Boston. The town will also serve as the starting point for the second stage of the 2026 Tour of Britain men's cycling race. Further enhancing the summer's offerings are Boston's Strongest and Food Fest in July, alongside a music festival known as B-Fest in August.
Council leader Dale Broughton emphasized the importance of these events, noting their role in uniting communities and providing enjoyment for residents and visitors. He highlighted that such activities are crucial for boosting local businesses by increasing footfall and encouraging repeat visits to Boston, a town rich in history and heritage.
