He further elaborated on the significance of Sunny Deol's involvement, noting that the 'Border' franchise is closely associated with both Deol and filmmaker J.P. Dutta. "If you are making Border, then you need Sunny Sir for sure because people identify this name with Sunny sir," Singh commented.
Ultimately, the director confirmed that the cast for 'Border 2', which includes Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, and Anya Singh, was selected based on what the script demanded at the time of its writing. The film reached theaters on January 23rd.
