This box office performance has led trade analyst Taran Adarsh to declare Border 2 a "BLOCKBUSTER." He noted its strong performance in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, driven by positive word-of-mouth, and highlighted that the film did not rely on discounted ticket rates.
The movie is a sequel to JP Dutta's 1997 film Border and is directed by Anurag Singh. The ensemble cast includes Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, and Ahaan Shetty.
