Despite promising advance sales, Border 2 is facing tough competition from the legacy of Gadar 2. The sequel has sold 66.13% fewer tickets compared to Gadar 2's advance booking figures, which saw a staggering 7.22 lakh tickets sold and ₹17.6 crore grossed.
Exhibitors are optimistic about Border 2's box office potential, especially given the lack of major releases. However, the film needs a significant surge in ticket sales to match the opening day collection of Gadar 2, which grossed ₹40.1 crore net.
