"Ally" centers on a piglet squid with dreams of documentary stardom. An aircraft crash propels her and companions on an upward journey, blending real marine biology with themes of bravery and connection. This family adventure aims for a worldwide theatrical release in 2027.
The production boasts international collaboration, with talent from 12 countries contributing. Key figures include animation supervisor Jae Hyung Kim of "Toy Story 4" and supervising producer David Lipman from the "Shrek" franchise.
DNEG, known for "Inception" and "Dune," is providing 3D animation. Pathé and CJ ENM will handle distribution across various global territories, including France, South Korea, and Southeast Asia.
