Summary
- Bombay High Court quashes FIR filed by Rakhi Sawant against ex-husband Adil Durrani
- Parties reach amicable settlement, ending legal battles over marital conflict
- Court acknowledges personal nature of dispute, allows petitions to be dismissed

In a recent development, the Bombay High Court has officially quashed the FIR filed by actress and reality TV star Rakhi Sawant against her ex-husband, Adil Durrani. The case was registered under Sections 498A and 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) last year.
Sawant, who had earlier filed the complaint at Amboli Police Station, has now submitted a 'no objection' statement before the court, confirming that she no longer wishes to pursue the matter. A division bench of Justices Revati Mohite-Dere and Sandesh Patil passed the order, bringing an end to the legal dispute that had drawn public attention.
The judges stated that since both parties had reached an amicable settlement, there was no need for the case to continue. The court also took into account other complaints filed by both parties, including an FIR lodged by Rakhi against Adil for allegedly circulating obscene photos on WhatsApp, as well as the cross FIR filed by Adil against Rakhi. All these cases were dismissed by the bench, as they arose from the same marital conflict and had now been resolved through mutual understanding.
The court refrained from imposing any costs or penalties on either side, noting that the issue stemmed from a personal dispute between the two. The bench emphasized that since the disagreement was purely matrimonial in nature, the decision to quash the case was fair and justified.
