On April 30, 2026, Boman Irani's Spiral Bound initiative, focused on writing and mentorship, convened prominent figures from Indian cinema in Moscow. This collaboration with Moskino and Moscow Film Cluster celebrated storytelling and fostered creative industry development in Russia.
The top three writers selected from the initiative's contest will be given the opportunity to visit Moscow. Boman Irani clarified that winning writers are free to choose any production house for their future projects, including his own Irani Movietone, emphasizing his commitment to their career growth.
Irani also expressed his aspiration to explore a wide range of film genres, steering clear of a signature style. He cited Stanley Kubrick's diverse directorial work, from sci-fi to horror, as an inspiration for his own artistic ambitions.
Additionally, Irani discussed his transformative role as Peer Baba in Riteish Deshmukh's recent film, Raja Shivaji, noting his enjoyment of being unrecognizable and fully immersed in a character.
