Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan's 60th Birthday Celebrations Disrupted by Mannat Renovation
30 Oct
Summary
- Mannat, SRK's Mumbai residence, undergoing major renovation since May 2025
- SRK to celebrate 60th birthday at Alibaug home with family and friends
- First look of upcoming film 'King' expected to be unveiled on his birthday

As Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, prepares to celebrate his 60th birthday on November 2, 2025, his fans are in for a change in tradition. Typically, thousands of admirers line up outside Mannat, SRK's iconic Mumbai residence, to catch a glimpse of the superstar as he waves from the balcony. However, this year, the actor's usual birthday ritual might not happen as Mannat is currently undergoing a major renovation and expansion project that began in May 2025.
The extensive makeover is expected to take almost two more years to complete, meaning SRK's balcony appearance for his fans is unlikely. The actor himself confirmed the ongoing construction work during a recent social media interaction, joking that he doesn't even have a room at Mannat these days and is renting a place instead.
While Mannat's gates might stay closed for public celebrations this year, Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly planning to mark his 60th birthday with an intimate gathering of close family and friends at his Alibaug residence. Invitations have already been sent out, and guests are expected to arrive from November 1 onwards for the private event.
Adding to the excitement, there are reports suggesting that the first look of SRK's upcoming film 'King', directed by Siddharth Anand, might be unveiled on his birthday, a fitting gift for his devoted fans who have been eagerly waiting to see what's next for the Badshah of Bollywood. Despite the change in venue, Shah Rukh Khan's 60th birthday celebrations are sure to be nothing short of royal, just like the man himself.
