Bollywood's Aditya Sarpotdar to Bring Legendary Warrior Karna to Life as Mythological Superhero

Bollywood director Aditya Sarpotdar has established himself as one of the industry's most inventive storytellers. Known for his ability to blend humor and heart in his films, Sarpotdar is now turning his focus toward mythology and superheroes.

Reportedly, Sarpotdar's next directorial venture is a large-scale superhero film inspired by the legendary Mahabharata warrior, Karna. This "mythological superhero saga" will reimagine Karna's timeless story for today's audience, blending nostalgia with modern storytelling. Backed by producer Murad Khetani, the project aims to deliver a visually stunning and emotionally rich experience.

In the meantime, Sarpotdar's upcoming film 'Thamma' is set to release on October 21, 2025, on the occasion of Diwali. Marking the fifth installment in India's popular horror-comedy universe, the film promises an exciting mix of fear and laughter, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal.
