Bollywood Actor Arshad Warsi Urges Industry to Take More Creative Risks

In a recent interview, Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has criticized the industry's tendency to play it safe with film genres. He highlighted the prevalent trend of replicating successful formulas, such as the surge in superhero-style movies following the success of RRR.

Warsi commended the romantic drama 'Saiyaara' for deviating from the current superhero craze and succeeding with a simple love story. He noted that the film, starring newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, worked well despite releasing at a time when superhero-ish films were dominating the box office.

The actor emphasized that filmmakers should be willing to take risks and try something different, even if they have the money and resources to follow the safe path. He believes that a good movie can connect with audiences regardless of its genre, citing 'Saiyaara' and the recent hit 'Kantara: Chapter 1' as examples.
