Actor Bobby Deol recently recounted a memorable and amusing incident from the sets of the 1997 thriller Gupt: The Hidden Truth. While appearing on Aap Ki Adalat, Deol discussed a challenging intimate scene he was meant to film with co-star Manisha Koirala.
Deol explained that Koirala had been enjoying a popular street snack, 'chana zor garam,' which contained onions. During a song sequence, Koirala's character was supposed to bite Deol's chin. However, Deol found it difficult to perform due to the strong smell of onions emanating from Koirala's mouth.
In a light-hearted attempt at revenge, Deol convinced a fellow actor, who had a scene where he needed to confront Koirala, to eat onions beforehand. Deol hoped this would enhance the scene, but Koirala's reaction remained unaffected, leading Deol to reflect on their youthful immaturity.
Gupt: The Hidden Truth, released in 1997, is a highly regarded suspense thriller directed by Rajiv Rai, featuring Bobby Deol, Kajol, and Manisha Koirala in lead roles. Bobby Deol is also preparing for the release of his upcoming film Bandar, directed by Anurag Kashyap, scheduled for June 5, 2026.
