Montgomery expressed enthusiasm, highlighting the boundless potential for projects beyond the book business.
Weis is actively involved in multiple ventures. He is set to release two titles with Disney Editions/Random House Worlds, including "Marty Sklar: Time Capsules of Walt Disney Imagineering," scheduled for April 13, 2027. His presence will also be felt at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, from August 14-16, 2026.
His career began at Disneyland while he was a student, eventually leading him to WED Enterprises (now Walt Disney Imagineering) in 1980. Weis played a key role in developing projects such as Tokyo Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios. He led Imagineering as president from 2016 to 2022.
Further adding to his literary contributions, Weis released his memoir, "Dream Chasing: My Four Decades of Success and Failure with Walt Disney Imagineering," in September 2024, complete with a foreword by Bob Iger. His novel, "Ghost Dog," was also published in the same year.
