Robert Martin Rosenfarb, a television writer whose career spanned decades, passed away. Born in Brooklyn on September 16, 1951, Rosenfarb moved to Los Angeles in 1978 with aspirations of becoming a TV writer.
His writing career began in 1982 with an episode of Archie Bunker's Place. He subsequently penned scripts for various popular shows, including Cagney & Lacey, The Golden Girls, and Who's The Boss. Rosenfarb also contributed to animated series such as The Get Along Gang and Heathcliff & the Catillac Cats.
Rosenfarb also served as a writer and story editor for Head of the Class and as a writer and supervising producer for Who's The Boss. His work was characterized by sharp, heartfelt comedy, reflecting his instinct for character, timing, and heart.
His family has requested that donations in his memory be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Services are planned for Friday, March 6, at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills.
