Bob Dylan Tour in Chaos: Guitarists Quit!

Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour has recently seen dramatic shifts in its lineup. Guitarist Bob Britt departed suddenly in June, following reports of tension with Dylan. Shortly after, Doug Lancio, who joined in 2021, was also removed from the tour without explanation.

Jazz virtuoso Julian Lage was brought in to fill the guitar slot, splitting duties with Britt for seven shows. However, Britt subsequently quit the band, citing his departure on social media. Lage's own busy schedule prevented him from committing to the tour full-time.

To address the ongoing guitarist shortage, Chicago-based musician Joel Paterson has been enlisted. Paterson is now performing all guitar parts solo for the tour's recent performances. The long-term implications of these frequent guitarist changes remain unclear.
