Summary
- Bluffmaster's unique music was created on a budget less than half of the director's first film.
- The film ingeniously reused old tracks, including a 1976 song, due to budget constraints.
- Abhishek Bachchan's debut song, 'Right Here Right Now,' became a national anthem.

The cult con-comedy Bluffmaster recently marked its 20th anniversary, celebrated for its innovative music that remains popular today. Director Rohan Sippy shared insights into the film's unique soundtrack creation process, highlighting that the budget was less than half of his debut film, Kuch Naa Kaho. This financial constraint heavily influenced the creative decisions, particularly concerning the music.
Faced with limited funds and time, Sippy and writer Shridhar Raghavan opted for a soundtrack approach, integrating music organically rather than through elaborate choreography. This led to the inspired decision to remix the 1976 track 'Sabse Bada Rupaiya,' a bold move as song remixing was not common then. The film also leveraged Saregama's extensive music catalogue, securing other popular songs for minimal cost.
