Xolo Maridueña will once again embody the Blue Beetle for the upcoming Superman sequel, tentatively titled Man of Tomorrow. This confirmation comes from sources close to the production, marking Maridueña's return to the DC Comics character since the 2023 film. The production has been ongoing since April in Atlanta and is expected to continue through the summer.
Maridueña joins an already impressive ensemble cast. David Corenswet will portray Superman, with Nicholas Hoult taking on the role of Lex Luthor. The original Blue Beetle film centered on Jaime Reyes, a popular El Paso teen who discovers an alien scarab capable of transforming him into the titular superhero, thwarting Kord Industries' nefarious plans.
