Action Family Thriller 'Blast' Redefines Female Leads

Debut director Subash K Raj is set to release his action family thriller, 'Blast', on May 28. The film introduces the concept of an 'action family,' where a karate master father, his highly trained daughter, and a powerful mother form the core of the narrative. Raj was inspired to create a woman-centric action film with a powerful maternal figure, pushing beyond conventional portrayals.

Starring Arjun as the father and Abhirami as the mother, the film aims to captivate family audiences with its unique blend of action and relatable themes. Preity Mukhundhan also features in a lead role. The director highlighted that the film will touch upon modern parenting and the father-daughter relationship. AGS Entertainment is backing the project, known for supporting creative freedom and efficient releases.
