In a July 2025 deposition, Blake Lively detailed how she came into possession of text messages central to her now-dismissed lawsuit against Justin Baldoni. Lively testified that her friend, Ashley Avignone, who is also acquainted with Taylor Swift, informed her about the existence of these texts. Avignone reportedly learned of the messages from a publicist, Stephanie Jones.
According to Lively's testimony, Stephanie Jones characterized the texts, originating from Jennifer Abel's phone, as profoundly disturbing. Jones, who had access to the phone as Abel was a former employee, felt Blake deserved to see them. Lively eventually spoke with Jones and obtained the messages. As previously reported, Lively's lawsuit against Wayfarer and Baldoni was settled weeks before its scheduled trial.
