Lively, Baldoni Settle Harassment Lawsuit
4 May
Summary
- Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni reached a settlement in a lawsuit.
- A judge previously dismissed Lively's harassment claims but allowed retaliation claims.
- Baldoni's company countersued Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defamation and extortion.

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have resolved the sexual harassment lawsuit initiated by the actress.
Attorneys for both parties issued a joint statement expressing hope for closure and a peaceful, respectful path forward for everyone involved.
Previously, a federal judge in New York had dismissed Lively's sexual harassment allegations, which were first brought in 2024. However, two retaliation claims were permitted to proceed. Some of the sexual harassment allegations could be presented to a jury to support these remaining claims.
Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, had filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. They accused the couple of defamation and extortion, but these counterclaims were dismissed in June.
A trial for the unresolved claims had been slated to commence later this month.
