Sony Email Contradicts Blake Lively's Testimony
4 May
Summary
- Blake Lively denied asking for footage destruction under oath.
- A Sony executive's email suggests Lively requested footage deletion.
- Lively and Justin Baldoni's trial is scheduled soon.

Blake Lively has stated under oath that she never requested the destruction of raw footage, known as 'dailies,' from her film 'It Ends with Us.' Her deposition on July 31, 2025, saw her firmly deny any such requests, even when asked if she instructed Sony on the matter.
Dailies are unedited clips filmed daily during production, used by directors to check for issues. Despite Lively's denial, an email from Sony executive Ange Giannetti to Josh Greenstein, then President of Sony Pictures' Motion Picture Group, dated September 3, 2024, has emerged. The email states, 'call me when you can. not urgent but blake asking us to destroy some of the dailies.'
Giannetti reportedly expressed surprise at such a request when no nudity was involved and mentioned plans to contact vendors through a person named Bridget to delete the footage. It remains unclear if this plan was executed. This apparent contradiction comes as Lively and Justin Baldoni's trial is set to commence in a few weeks, following a judge's decision to dismiss 10 of their 13 claims last month.
