Reality Star Accused of 'Ghosting' Bakers for Free Cakes

Two bakery owners have come forward with allegations against reality star Binky Felstead concerning the exchange of luxury cakes for social media exposure. One baker, Reshmi Bennett, claims Felstead's team requested a bespoke birthday cake for her son in return for an Instagram post collaboration. Bennett stated that Felstead's representatives insisted on gifted cakes, citing her large Instagram following as sufficient compensation.

Adding to these claims, another bakery owner detailed a similar experience from 2021. This baker alleges she made both a wedding and a birthday cake for Felstead. Despite promising mentions and features, the baker claims she was subsequently ghosted by Felstead and her team. When the baker requested £75 for cake transportation, Felstead reportedly declined, citing her usual rates for social media posts.

Felstead's representatives have responded, characterizing the requests as standard industry 'contra enquiries' and expressing disappointment that a private inquiry was shared publicly. They noted that such collaborations are typically mutually beneficial and that Binky was not directly involved in the exchanges, being on holiday at the time.
