Actor-producer Bimal Oberoi, known for his role as Shirani in the "Dhurandhar" franchise, shared his unique career path in the entertainment industry. His journey began with crucial support from singer Daler Mehndi in the early 1990s. Mehndi provided Oberoi with 12 monthly checks of $10,000 to cover expenses when he moved to Mumbai, marking the start of their professional association. Oberoi even appeared in Mehndi's hit music video "Ho Jayegi Balle Balle."

Before stepping into acting, Oberoi dedicated years to understanding filmmaking and production. His initial involvement was with Anubhav Sinha's "Tum Bin," where he learned about casting and scripting. He also contributed to music videos for artists like Pankaj Udhas and Sonu Nigam.
