The highly anticipated concert film HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D), a collaboration between Billie Eilish and director James Cameron, has had its release date pushed back by almost two months. Initially planned for a late March debut, the film is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 8. This delay was announced on January 26.
James Cameron shared photos of himself and Eilish reviewing footage, explaining they were refining the edit and incorporating new 3D technology. He assured fans that the film would be worth the wait. Eilish echoed this sentiment on her social media.
The film compiles footage from Billie Eilish's extensive "Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour," which comprised 106 shows throughout 2024 and 2025. This tour supported her 2024 album of the same title, which achieved a No. 2 position on the Billboard 200 chart.
