Pop superstar Billie Eilish is set to embark on her film acting journey with a starring role in Sarah Polley's upcoming adaptation of Sylvia Plath's seminal novel, "The Bell Jar." This marks Polley's directorial return following her Oscar win for "Women Talking" in 2023, where she received the award for best adapted screenplay.
Focus Features has secured the rights to "The Bell Jar," with production helmed by a formidable team. Joy Gorman Wettels, known for her work on "13 Reasons Why," is producing, alongside Plan B Entertainment and StudioCanal. Gorman Wettels initiated the project, assembling the talent with Eilish and Polley before partnering with Plan B and StudioCanal, ultimately leading to Focus Features boarding the film.
