Martin Amis's Booker-nominated novel, 'Yellow Dog,' is now available as an audiobook, narrated by Bill Nighy. The satirical work delves into the darker aspects of male nature through three interwoven comic storylines.
Nighy masterfully embodies a range of eccentric characters, including the victimized writer Xan Meo, King Henry IX, and the gossip-mongering reporter Clint Smoker. The supporting cast features Russia, Meo's wife; Cora Susan, a pornography tycoon; and footballer Ainsley Car.
Though some characters border on caricature, Nighy's vocal performance imbues them with believability and entertainment value. This release is part of a series of Amis titles being made available in audio format this year.
