A former contestant from the 2007 series of Big Brother, Charley Uchea, appeared at Bromley Magistrates' Court facing multiple driving charges. These included driving without insurance, driving with a revoked license, using a car without a valid test certificate, and not wearing a seatbelt. Uchea had been disqualified from driving for 18 months in 2010 and her license was revoked by the DVLA in 2015. She admitted to driving on a revoked license and using a car without MOT or tax since March 2024.
During her appearance, Uchea explained her failure to wear a seatbelt was due to a recent breast enlargement surgery. The charge related to the seatbelt offense was eventually dropped after she pleaded guilty to the other offenses. She stated she was simply taking her son to school. When asked about her income, Uchea claimed to be broke, citing a recent serious injury from being hit by a truck that left her with no income. The court fined her £120, imposed a £48 surcharge, and ordered £85 in costs, adding eight points to her license.
