27 Jun
Summary
- Fibre arts show and sale returns to Bible Hill exhibition grounds.
- Community partners ensure the continuation of the provincial exhibition.
- Anonymous donation and grants support future exhibition events.

Fibre arts are once again a highlight in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia, with the third annual quilt and hooked rug show and sale taking place this weekend. This event is proceeding amid renewed planning for the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition.
Community stakeholders, including the Truro Raceway and Farm Equipment Museum, have united to ensure the exhibition's continuation after previous management agreements ended. A significant anonymous donation of $50,000, alongside other grants and sponsorships, has bolstered efforts.
The exhibition, scheduled from August 12 to 16, will feature a wide array of attractions. These include 4-H shows, an interactive agriculture showcase, a goat show, demolition derby, antique car show, ATV drag races, carnival rides, live music, and diverse food options.
Profits generated from the event are designated to support Colchester County 4-H and a legacy fund for future exhibitions. This collaborative approach exemplifies community strength and partnership in creating a special event.
