Actress Bhumi Pednekar is set to star in the grand historical epic, "The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj." She will embody the role of Belawadi Mallamma, a distinguished warrior queen from Karnataka, celebrated for her bravery.
The film, directed and produced by Sandeep Singh, focuses on the life and times of the renowned Maratha warrior king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Rishab Shetty is cast in the titular role, with an ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal and Vivek Oberoi.
Pednekar's addition enhances the project's already impressive lineup. The film is slated for production later this year, following extensive pre-production efforts. The movie is planned as a two-part saga, featuring music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Prasoon Joshi.
