The estimated cost for this tribute is INR 2.50 crore. Veteran actor Kamal Haasan expressed his deep appreciation for the government's decision, describing it as a timely gesture that recognizes Bharathiraja's talent in capturing the authentic essence of the land on screen.
Bharathiraja's wife, Chandraleela, along with the Directors' Union and numerous figures from the film industry, have conveyed their thanks to the government for this announcement, celebrating the planned honor for the acclaimed director.
