Actress Bhagyashree recently shared the surprising origin story of her debut film, Maine Pyar Kiya, on India's Best Dancer Season 5. She disclosed that acting was not her initial career aspiration, as she planned to study abroad. Bhagyashree recounted how filmmakers Sooraj Barjatya and his father visited her home, leading her to mistakenly believe they were there for a marriage proposal.
She recalled her nervousness when her father suggested a private conversation with Sooraj Barjatya, only to be relieved when she learned he wanted to narrate a film. Although impressed by the story, Bhagyashree initially declined the offer due to her academic plans. However, Barjatya's persistent efforts, including narrating the revised story at least seven times, eventually convinced her to accept the role.
Bhagyashree also shared an anecdote from the film's production regarding the song 'Mere Rang Mein Rangne,' where she was hesitant to wear a mini dress. Barjatya suggested an alternative where only Salman Khan's character could see her attire, a creative choice that became memorable for the audience. Maine Pyar Kiya's success launched both Bhagyashree and Salman Khan's careers in Hindi cinema.
