- She cited high compensation demands that could cause cast resentment.

Bethenny Frankel has revealed she will not be participating in the upcoming reality television spinoff, "The Golden Life." She cited that her current business ventures and brand partnerships are not conducive to the reality TV genre. Frankel explained that while former castmates asked her to join the show, the substantial compensation required for her return would inevitably cause resentment among the other women, a situation she experienced previously.
Frankel, who first appeared on 'The Real Housewives of New York City' in its inaugural season, has moved on to other ventures. She is prioritizing her current life and peace, stating she enjoys the freedom of not being beholden to others' schedules or demands. Despite her departure, she expressed well wishes for the success of the new show and her former colleagues.
"The Golden Life" is set to star Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Kelly Bensimon, and Sonja Morgan. Jill Zarin was initially slated to be part of the cast but was reportedly removed after criticizing a performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.
