Bestselling Finnish Trilogy 'Hildur' Heads to TV with International Cast

In the lead-up to the Mipcom television market, one of the standout shows in Cineflix Rights' scripted lineup is the crime drama 'Hildur'. Based on the best-selling trilogy by Finnish-born, Iceland-based author Satu Rämö, the six-part series is set to offer a fresh take on the Nordic noir genre.

The show's main character, Icelandic police officer Hildur, carries a personal trauma - the unsolved disappearance of her two sisters 25 years earlier. Now back in her hometown in Iceland's Westfjords region, Hildur is drawn into investigating a series of crimes, flanked by unlikely allies: a Finnish trainee officer and a German recruit mistakenly assigned to her team.
