Berlinale Juries Revealed for 2026 Film Fest

The 76th Berlin International Film Festival, scheduled from February 12 to February 22, 2026, has announced the esteemed jury members for its Perspectives, Documentary, Generation, and Shorts sections.
The Perspectives jury will award €50,000 ($60,000) to a debut fiction feature. Jurors include Sofia Alaoui, Frédéric Hambalek, and Dorota Lech.
For the Berlinale Documentary Award, directors Lemohang Mosese and Shaunak Sen, along with critic B Ruby Rich, will judge. Rich is known for coining the term New Queer Cinema.
The Generation International Jury, comprising Khozy Rizal, Lena Urzendowsky, and Kim Yutani, will present awards totaling €10,000 ($12,000) for best films in the Generation Kplus and 14plus competitions.
Finally, the International Short Film Jury, with Ameer Fakher Eldin, Stefan Grissemann, and Gabriele Stötzer, will select Gold and Silver Bear winners and award the €20,000 ($24,000) Berlinale Shorts CUPRA Filmmaker Award.
