The 17th Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFes) is scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 6, celebrating global and Indian cinema. Senior actor, director, and producer Prakash Raj has been appointed as the brand ambassador for this prestigious event. The festival's core theme for this edition will be women's empowerment, reflecting a commitment to diverse narratives and voices.
BIFFes will feature an extensive selection of over 200 films hailing from 60 different countries, with more than 400 screenings planned. These cinematic offerings will be shown across multiple venues, including Cinepolis at Lulu Mall and other key locations like Dr. Rajkumar Bhavana. The festival will present acclaimed works previously showcased at international festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, and Toronto, alongside films shortlisted for the Academy Awards.
