Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is launching special metro feeder bus services on January 4th to accommodate visitors attending the annual Chitra Santhe art fair. The event, renowned for transforming Kumara Krupa Road into an open-air art gallery, anticipates thousands of attendees from across the country. These dedicated bus services aim to simplify last-mile connectivity and alleviate potential traffic congestion within the city center.
The feeder buses will operate continuously from 8 am to 8 pm, aligning with the fair's timings. They will connect major Namma Metro stations, including Kempegowda (Majestic), Mantri Square, and Vidhana Soudha, to Shivananda Circle, a prime access point for the venue. Authorities strongly advise the public to utilize these services, as significant traffic restrictions will be implemented around the event area.
Chitra Santhe, now in its 23rd edition, showcases a diverse range of artistic expressions from over 1,500 stalls. With limited parking and extensive road closures anticipated, visitors are urged to plan their commute using the metro and BMTC feeder buses to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at this major cultural gathering.
