Former 'Gotham' co-stars Ben McKenzie and Morena Baccarin are reuniting for the Season 2 premiere of Baccarin's series, 'Sheriff Country.' McKenzie will guest star as Sheriff Wade, a neighboring lawman called to aid Sheriff Mickey Fox, portrayed by Baccarin. Their characters share a past, mirroring their real-life relationship as husband and wife, which began while they worked together on 'Gotham.'
The premiere episode, titled 'Cyclone,' finds Sheriff Fox grappling with a shocking family revelation. Simultaneously, she races against time to rescue a young woman whose involvement with a criminal enterprise exposes a broader threat to the town of Edgewater.
McKenzie, who played Detective James Gordon, and Baccarin, who portrayed Dr. Leslie Thompkins on 'Gotham,' experienced a significant on-screen romance that eventually led to their on-screen marriage before their real-life union. 'Sheriff Country' follows Sheriff Fox as she investigates criminal activity in Edgewater, facing personal challenges with her father and daughter.
Season 2 of 'Sheriff Country' is scheduled to premiere on Friday, October 9th, at 8 p.m. on the CBS Television Network and will also be available for streaming on Paramount+.
