Ben Marshall: From SNL to Centerfold Star?

Saturday Night Live's Ben Marshall, a prominent figure from the Please Don't Destroy comedy trio and a full-time cast member, has become a focal point in pop culture. Marshall, who is 31, recently participated in a feature reminiscent of Burt Reynolds's 1972 Cosmopolitan centerfold, showcasing a new generation of stars. He discussed his career trajectory, including his initial reluctance to appear shirtless in media, which has since become a recurring theme in his recent work.

Marshall shared his thoughts on the common saying that "nice guys finish last," refuting it by highlighting successful individuals like Conan O'Brien who have achieved acclaim without leaving others behind. He expressed a deep passion for comedy and collaboration, valuing the opportunity to create content with people he likes. The comedian also touched upon his personal life, asserting his need for privacy as his fame grows.

Reflecting on his early career, Marshall mentioned his switch from basketball to pursuing video and photography during high school, leading him to Savannah Arts Academy. Despite never performing in school plays, he consistently acted in self-made videos. He also spoke about his experiences filming "72 Hours," describing Kevin Hart as a supportive and improvisational collaborator. Marshall expressed interest in starring in a rom-com, inspired by "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."

When discussing aging, Marshall noted that while he is 31, he is learning to respect his own needs more, a contrast to his past experiences like attending prom on crutches with an ex-girlfriend. He humorously described his personal style as "relaxed, casual, gorgeous." Marshall also shared a quirky rom-com idea involving a man falling in love with his hair transplant doctor, titled "Turkish Delights."
