Ben Affleck shares Armageddon costar's surprising advice

Ben Affleck recently recalled candid advice he received from his "Armageddon" co-stars Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton. Willis, Affleck shared, once told him his voice was too high, a critique Affleck questioned at the time. Willis also advised Affleck against joining the cast of "Shakespeare in Love," a film that later won Best Picture at the Oscars, with Affleck playing a supporting role.

Affleck also reminisced about Billy Bob Thornton's witty remarks on the "Armageddon" set. Thornton, who had recently won an Oscar for "Sling Blade," humorously asked Affleck and Matt Damon if they received half an Oscar for co-writing "Good Will Hunting." Thornton also reportedly questioned the film's premise, expressing bemusement about the production's logic.
