This year's Bemidji Symphony Orchestra holiday concert on Tuesday, December 2nd, at the Bemidji High School Auditorium, will feature a unique sing-along experience. Music director Beverly Everett revealed that four humorous holiday tunes have been selected to join the traditional carols.
Audience members can expect to belt out classics like "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer," "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas," and "All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth." These arrangements, crafted by orchestra member Paul Johnson, are designed to be witty and amusing, reflecting the lyrical content.
Alongside these comedic songs, the concert will also present more traditional pieces such as "In the Bleak Midwinter" and "Carol of the Drum." The program will conclude with a rendition of "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," offering a blend of festive cheer and humor for all.
