The Bemidji Area Community Band is set to commence its summer concert series, with the first performance scheduled for Sunday, June 14. These concerts, held outdoors on the lawn south of Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex, are an extension of Bemidji State's Symphonic Band.
The inaugural concert, themed "The Beautiful Game," will feature music inspired by sports and video games, including "Suite from World of Warcraft." Director Ryan Webber curated the program to appeal to a wide audience, highlighting engaging pieces often overlooked.
Future concerts are planned for June 28, July 19, August 2, and August 16. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, and while attendance is free, donations are accepted. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved indoors to Bangsberg.
