Summary
- Tribute episodes planned for beloved 'General Hospital' stars
- Actors Denise Alexander and Tristan Rogers passed away recently
- Writers aim to keep characters' legacies alive in the show

In the wake of the recent deaths of 'General Hospital' stars Denise Alexander and Tristan Rogers, the show's co-head writers have vowed to honor the legacies of the beloved actors and their iconic characters.
Alexander, who played Dr. Lesley Webber, passed away last month at the age of 85 from natural causes. Meanwhile, Rogers, known for his portrayal of Robert Scorpio, died in August at the age of 79 after revealing his cancer diagnosis just one month prior.
The writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, have expressed their intention to dedicate tribute episodes to both Alexander and Rogers, similar to the farewell they organized for actress Leslie Charleson and her character, Monica Quartermaine, eight months after Charleson's passing.
"He is sorely missed, and we aim to pay tribute to Tristan and Robert the same way that we did for Leslie [Charleson] and Monica [Quartermaine]," the co-head writers stated. As for Alexander, Van Etten said, "We want to make sure that we achieve the same goal that I think we have with the story of Monica's passing. We want a story that will carry [Lesley and Robert's] names into the future, so that we still feel Robert's and Lesley's presence for years to come."
The writers emphasized the importance of honoring both the actors and the characters they portrayed for decades, with Korte noting that "Monica was a pillar of General Hospital" and that it was crucial to showcase the impact of her passing on the show's core characters and their relationships.
