Belfast Pride Ditches Corporate Sponsors for 2026
25 Jul
Summary
- Belfast Pride parade will not feature corporate sponsors this year.
- Only public funders are providing financial support for the event.
- The 10-day festival began last Friday with various cultural events.
The annual Belfast Pride parade is set to march through the city's streets this Saturday, marking a significant change from previous years as it will feature no corporate sponsors. This departure means that business names will not be visible in programmes, promotional materials, or on stage at Custom House Square.
Instead, the 10-day Belfast Pride festival, which commenced last Friday with a programme of cultural events, nights out, and discussions, will be exclusively supported by public funders. A spokesperson for Belfast Pride emphasized that any support received is scrutinized to ensure it aligns with the festival's objectives.
