Belagavi Captivated by Shantala Natyalaya's Mesmerizing 'Namami Gange' Dance Drama

Last Saturday, the students of Shantala Natyalaya in Belagavi delivered a spellbinding performance as part of the dance school's 36th annual celebration. The highlight of the event was a 560-minute dance drama titled 'Namami Gange', which portrayed the story of the sacred Ganga river.

Following a vibrant Bharatanatyam showcase, 21 student artists took the stage to present the captivating 'Namami Gange' production. The mesmerizing performance left the audience deeply captivated, with renowned dancer Vaijayanthi Kashi praising the "magnificent presentation" and encouraging the students to maintain a lifelong connection with art.

Vidya Bhajantri, the deputy director of the Kannada & Culture Department, also attended the event and expressed the department's full support for Shantala Natyalaya, stating that "art brings joy and helps reform society." Senior journalist MK Hegde further lauded the 36-year journey of the dance school and the sacrifices made by its founder, Rekha Hegde, to achieve such remarkable success.
