The popular Netflix dark comedy Beef, starring Ali Wong and Steven Yeun, is set to return for a second season as an anthology. Creator Lee Sung Jin has revealed that the new season will explore generational dynamics through three distinct couples linked to an exclusive Southern California country club.
A Gen Z couple, employed in lower-level roles at the club, will discover and record a heated argument between their boss, Josh, and his wife, Lindsay. They plan to use this recording to advance their careers.
Josh and Lindsay represent the Millennial couple, a long-term pair grappling with the realities of aging and unfulfilled expectations. Notably, Oscar Isaac and Carey Mulligan, who have previously worked together, are cast as this couple.
