Four previously unseen artworks by Stuart Sutcliffe, an original member of The Beatles, have been unveiled at the Liverpool Beatles Museum. Sutcliffe, the band's initial bassist, joined after meeting John Lennon at art school. He left the group in 1961 to focus on his art career, but tragically passed away the following year at just 21 years old.

These four pieces have been loaned by Hereward Harrison, a close friend of Sutcliffe's sister, Pauline. Harrison received the artworks as gifts over their 50-year friendship and decided to have them publicly displayed. The collection features a sketch from his student days and three abstract pieces from his time in Hamburg.

Harrison emphasized that Sutcliffe's true passion and talent lay in art, stating, "He is famous because he was a Beatle but his real talent was art." This exhibition offers a dual narrative, highlighting both his connection to The Beatles and his significant artistic ability.
