The auction will feature autographed items from Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, collected during the band's famed 1963 autumn tour. This period marked the zenith of Beatlemania, making these signatures particularly sought after by enthusiasts.
In addition to the Fab Four's memorabilia, a distinctive hat worn by American actress Andie MacDowell in the successful 1994 romantic comedy Four Weddings and A Funeral will also be available. The hat was reportedly given to a local resident who had worked on the film's set, adding a personal connection to its provenance.
Auction house Bearnes Hampton & Littlewood anticipates considerable interest in both the music and film artifacts. Auctioneer Brian Goodison highlighted the historical significance of The Beatles' signatures, emphasizing the intense public fervor surrounding the band during their 1963 tour when they performed in Exeter, adding to the allure of these collectible items.
