A BBC electrician named Connor is in critical condition in Colombia following a severe accident where he fell from an 11-storey building. EastEnders star Jake Wood has urged the public and his colleagues to contribute to a GoFundMe campaign established to cover Connor's mounting medical expenses and repatriation costs.
Connor, described as a 'top man' by Wood, has undergone multiple life-saving surgeries and spent nine days in a coma. As of January 2, he was off ventilation and breathing with minimal support, though still in intensive care and under light sedation. His family, including his mother Denise, are by his side.
The fundraising appeal, organized by Victoria Dean, aims to reach £26,000 and has already seen generous donations from various EastEnders cast members, including Jake Wood, Gillian Taylforth, Emma Barton, Jacqueline Osborne, Adam Woodyatt, and Francesca Henry.
